AVNU is a network of 8 youth-serving, grassroots organizations that offer community-based education and training. The collaborative aims to provide increased access to learning opportunities for youth.
I have been working with the collaborative since the beginning of the project in 2011 to collect data about the process of setting up the collaborative, as well as the impact of the project on youth in increasing their skills, knowledge, networks and resources. One of the documents highlights a young person’s ‘Journey Through AVNU’, which shows how an AVNU participant has moved through, and benefitted from the partners’ programming. The second document highlights some of the promising practices that support youth professional development, as reported by project partners.
